The word terminally ill, means suffering with life threatening diseases with limited time left to live but Team ‘anjezë’ thinks different. What we want to give is best of everyday till the last day for the patients suffering with the illness. Patients who cannot be given curative treatment because their disease has advanced or spread are called Palliative Patients. Hence these patients are given treatment to ensure that they are pain free till they live and for this Team ‘anjezë’ runs the Palliative Care Program. Besides funds for medicine such as morphine for pain relief, Palliative Care requires special visits by the doctors and care givers at their residences and palliative homes. Also patients and their families require counselling . Team ‘anjezë’ has been striving to make a difference in the lives of these palliative patients by giving them better quality care.

Description

Funds are required for getting the patients medicines. This includes pain relief medications. Funds are also required to hire additional care givers such as doctors and additional supporting staff.

Through this cause Team ‘anjezë’ has served over a 98 patients at Tata Memorial Hospital (and counting). (Based on the service rendered by Team ‘anjezë’, the above data is updated on quarterly basis).

Team ‘anjezë’ thrives to make the remaining journey of the patients, as pain free and comfortable as possible. The fact of the matter in this cause remains, that this is the most difficult situation for a family, to see its member suffer without a hope to life.
